NYPD looking for suspect who shot man in behind, then fled

Police are looking for a suspect after he walked up to a man in Rosedale and shot him, said the NYPD

On Saturday, March 2, around 3:50 a.m., the suspect approached the victim in front of 234-36 Merrick Boulevard, displayed a firearm, shot him in the buttocks, then fled on foot.

The victim was transported to Mercy Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Authorities describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old, 5’11? tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a beige jacket and brown pants.
