Suspects wanted in assault on man in Ozone Park

A group of men attacked a 26-year-old in Ozone Park Sunday, punching and kicking the man before cutting him, police said.

The assault happened on 101st Avenue near Liberty Avenue, around 4:45 a.m. when the suspects came up to the victim and started beating him, cops said. One of the suspects, who the victim knew, then allegedly pulled out a sharp object and slashed the victim several times causing lacerations to his face, neck, back and hand. The suspects then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital and is listed in stable condition, officials said.

Police have released a video of two of the suspects and said one was wearing a blue jean vest with a white t-shirt underneath and is named “Timmy,” but is also known by the nickname “Slime.” The second suspect was wearing a black baseball hat and white sweater.
