A Long Island truck driver was arrested on Tuesday and booked at the 109th Precinct in Flushing for a fatal hit-and-run collision that killed a Murray Hill senior who was riding an electric bike on Northern Boulevard three months ago.

Kyle Schreiber, 27, of Lincoln Boulevard in Hauppauge, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in the death of 81-year-old Peter Seo on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 28.

Further investigation by the NYPD’s Highway District Collision Investigation Squad determined that the octogenarian was riding an e-bike just before 6:15 a.m., traveling eastbound on Northern Boulevard, when he tried to execute a left-hand turn onto Parsons Boulevard from the left turn lane. As he was crossing the westbound lanes he was allegedly struck by Schreiber, who was behind the wheel of a 2015 International tractor-trailer that was traveling westbound on Northern Boulevard, police said, adding that Schreiber sped away from the scene westbound on Northern Boulevard.

Officers out of the 109th Precinct found Seo lying on the roadway unconscious and unresponsive and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
