Express trains after Mets games

Mets fans looking for a quicker trip home after games at Shea Stadium have finally gotten their wish.
The No. 7 subway line that runs from Manhattan to Main Street, Flushing will now offer express service from Willets Point/Shea Stadium to Queensboro Plaza and midtown following Mets home games.
The service change, which began on July 12 following the Mets-Reds game, will decrease travel time by about six minutes. The express trains will leave Shea Stadium shortly after the conclusion of each home game and the service will last about one hour after the game, with trains arriving on the track every six minutes. Travel time between Shea Stadium and Queensboro Plaza will be trimmed by six minutes from 19 on the local to 13 minutes on the express, and from 31 to 25 minutes to Times Square.
