Jazz concert and tour at Flushing Town Hall

Flushing Town Hall will continue with its tradition of sharing jazz with the community with a concert on June 1 and the Queens Jazz Trail Tour on June 2.
On Friday, June 1, the Bill Jacobs Intimate Jazz Concert will take place at 8 p.m. The Bill Jacobs Ensemble, whose music has been described as “Afro-Cuban jazz,” is led by Jacobs, who is a vibraphonist and mallet percussionist. Along with being a musician, he is an educator who also writes and performs programs for children and adults.
Tickets for the concert cost $15 or $12 for members.
Jazz fans can attend the Queens Jazz Trail on Saturday, June 2, which will begin at 1 p.m. The tour, which is given the first Saturday of every month, begins at Flushing Town Hall and then moves throughout Queens, showing where famous jazz musicians lived. The tour takes people to Corona to see the homes of Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie and St. Albans, where Count Basie lived.
Tickets for the Queens Jazz Tour cost $35 or $25 for members. Through “Jazz by Night and Day!,” one price can be paid to attend both the concert and the jazz trail. It is $45 or $35 for members.
