Residents across Glendale and Ridgewood celebrated the summer at several block parties this past weekend, enjoying the sun, fun and games, great barbecue, and the company of their neighbors.

Kids were beating the heat by playing in blowup pools and running through sprinklers, while the adults manned the grills and got the grub ready for everyone to enjoy.

The block parties were held on Saturday, July 16, at the following locations:

  • 64th Place between 74th Avenue and Cooper Avenue, in Glendale;
  • 72nd Street between Myrtle Avenue and Indiana Avenue in Glendale;
  • Hancock Street between Wyckoff Avenue and Cypress Avenue in Ridgewood; and
  • Norman Street between Wyckoff Avenue and Cypress Avenue in Ridgewood.

Take a look at the photos from the parties here!
