Police are looking for men who broke into two Sunnyside apartments and stole cash, jewelry

Two men are wanted by police for a burglary pattern in Sunnyside where they have stolen cash, jewelry and electronics from several apartments.

Alex Castro, 29, and an unidentified man stole from apartments on 44th Street on July 15 and July 29.

On July 15 at 3:20 p.m., they illegally entered an apartment on 43rd Avenue and 44th Street and took $1,400 in cash, jewelry valued at $8,000 and electronics, before they fled on foot.

Castro was seen wearing dark Nike sneakers, a black t-shirt and olive cargo shorts. The second suspect was described as a male with a beard and long dark hair.

On July 29 at between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m., the suspects unlawfully entered an apartment on 44th street through the front door and stole a laptop and six small diamonds.

Both cases were reported to the 108th Precinct; there were no reported injuries.
