Police have arrested a man who is wanted for committing a series of recent burglaries across Flushing.

Kenneth Connolly, 50, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of burglary and grand larceny.

Connolly is suspected to have broken into 12 different commercial establishments that were just blocks away from each other in the Auburndale section of the neighborhood, within the confines of the 109th and 111th Precincts, and taking an undetermined amount of cash from each building over the course of 10 days.

The first incident occurred on Jan. 15. At 7 a.m. that day, according to police, Connolly allegedly entered an establishment located at 171-67 46th Ave. through the back door. Once inside, he took an undetermined amount of money from a cash register.

The second incident took place on Jan. 17. Police said that Connolly allegedly entered a laundromat located at 192-19 47th Ave. through a vent in the back of the building. Once he was inside, he broke into a cash register and stole an undetermined amount of cash.

Law enforcement sources said Connolly allegedly committed three burglaries in a span of a few hours on Jan. 20, breaking into B&J Cleaners (172-18 46th Ave.) and Moon Star Chinese Restaurant (172-16 46th Ave.) through the window. Once inside, he took money from the register before leaving.

Seven more burglaries took place between Jan. 22 and Jan. 25. In those capers, Connolly is said to have broken into each location through a back door, window or vent (or in one case, busting through an adjacent wall) and stolen an undetermined amount of money from the businesses.

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, Connolly was located near the corner of Pinson Street and Battery Road in Far Rockaway. He was arrested and charged with nine counts of burglary and four counts of grand larceny.
