crowning the ravel hotel is penthouse 808, an 8,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor rooftop restaurant, lounge and events space that offers breathtaking views of the manhattan skyline and queensboro bridge. a 112-foot retractable glass wall separates the the 110-seat indoor space from the 110-seat outdoor deck where plush cabanas line up against the manhattan skyline. during the colder months, penthouse 808 is winterized and fully enclosed, while still maintaining the integrity of the views you would find during the warmer months.
Food and Drink
our hawaiian and asian inspired pacific rim fare from executive chef seth levine is served nightly for dinner. enticing menu items like sword of sword, comprised of grilled swordfish and vegetables served up on a 3-foot sword and a 20oz hawaiian rib eye accompanied with grilled pineapple are among our signature dishes.
the cocktail menu created complements menu items by using select spirits paired with fresh fruit and vegetables found throughout the pacific rim. large format cocktails served in smoking tiki heads are available and perfect for groups to share. guests can also choose a bottle of wine or sake from our reserve list to accompany their meal.
executive chef seth levine of our sister property hotel chantelle, gurneys resort, and the stand draws upon his diverse culinary background to bring inventive presentations and creative offerings to penthouse808′s pacific rim menu. seth’s knack for cooking has been featured in the new york times, bloomberg news, and the new york post.
