Councilmember James F. Gennaro (center) good-naturedly dons a funny hat and becomes a magician’s assistant for entertainer Philip Levy (right) at the Community Board 8 Youth Committee’s Magic Show.
The show was on Tuesday, July 31, at the Briarwood Library, 85-12 Main Street. It featured Levy, who bills himself as “Theatricks by Phil,” assisted by Gennaro and Marc Haken, who wears a lot of hats.
Haken is chair of the Board 8 Youth, Education and Libraries Committee, president of Friends of Cunningham Park and his co-op board, and works as a community liaison for Assemblymember Rory Lancman, when he isn’t entertaining the kids.
