Sage gym trainees get great results

It’s five weeks to go for Anthony Testani and Irene Kalimeris.

The pair is being trained for 12 weeks – at no cost – by Jordan Schneider, founder and owner of Sage Exclusive Fitness in Whitestone and a personal trainer with a degree in exercise physiology.

Both Testani and Kalimeris have been training with Schneider for seven weeks, three times a week for 30 minutes at a time. They also do cardio twice a week for 30 minutes – and the results are more than visible.

Kalimeris and Testani will continue training, so be sure to pick up The Queens Courier – and go to qns.com – to track their progress.

If you would like to change your body and your life, call Schneider at 718-767-2659, go online at www.sagefit.com or visit the gym at 7-05 152nd Street in Whitestone.

Name: ANTHONY TESTANI

Age: 37

Starting Weight: 215

Current Weight: 193.6

Height: 5’ 8”

“I haven’t felt this good in years.”

Anthony Testani has lost nearly 22 pounds so far, and the experience has been “amazing,” he said.

The ex-smoker, who said his weight went up when he quit, now has “boundless energy” and increased confidence.

“I’m not tired at the end of the day,” said Testani. “Even my wheeze from smoking is gone.”

The real estate agent told The Queens Courier that he “owes a lot” to his boss and mentor, Judy Markowitz, for having encouraged him to get healthy.

And this, he said, is a life-long change.

“I have a better outlook on everything. I now snack on yogurt and fruit and will not eat as I used to.”

He also credits trainer Jordan Schneider.

“I walk out of the gym feeling like I can do anything,” said Testani. “And it’s because of Jordan – I see results in the scale, as well as in the mirror.”

In fact, Testani has been doing so well, his wife signed up for Sage too.

In the next five weeks, he hopes to hit his goal weight of 180 pounds.

Name: IRENE KALIMERIS

Age: 35

Starting Weight: 254.8

Current Weight: 230.3

Height: 5’ 5”

Irene Kalimeris is an inspiration to those around her.

“I feel really, really good,” she said.

Having lost almost 25 pounds, Kalimeris said she can see a “big, big difference” in the way she looks – and feels.

“I have tons of energy; I can do everything so much more quickly, with less stress. Overall, it’s great.”

She has been eating healthily and no longer even feels deprived.

“The first four weeks I felt deprived, but now I don’t. The way I think about food has changed. I’d rather eat healthy versus something sugary.”

And, with her new outlook – and look – Kalimeris, who works at Hair on 14th salon, has been inspiring her mom, “who is on the bandwagon to eating more healthily” as well as clients.
