Attempted murder suspect

The police are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect in connection with a shooting and attempted murder.

According to authorities, just before midnight on Friday, September 9, the suspect, Tommy Gomez, 19, of 78th Avenue in Glendale, and four other men approached the victim on the corner of Bleecker Street and Cypress Avenue.  Gomez shot the victim once in the stomach and fled to 17-03 Himrod Street.

The 17-year-old male victim was transported to Elmhurst Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The suspect and four accomplices remain at large.

Anyone with information in regards to the whereabouts of this individual is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
