Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault within the confines of the 109th precinct.

At approximately 8:50 a.m. on September 28, police received a 9-1-1 call of an assault in the vicinity of 148th Street and the Cross Island Parkway. Upon arrival, police were met by the suspect, a 33-year-old female.

The suspect told the responding officers she was grabbed from behind and forced into the brush of the northbound Cross Island Parkway.

Her screams were heard by a witness, who yelled at the suspect, who then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male with salt and pepper hair, between 45 and 50 years old, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds.
