1244-11 QSV Pattern #9 12-07-11 Incident sketch

A serial southeast Queens rapist was caught on camera as he attempted his third sexual assault in two months.

The video, released today by police, shows the suspect approaching the victim from behind and grabbing her around the neck.  The suspect placed a sharp object to the victim’s back before dragging her behind a house where he attempted to rape her, police say. The incident took place Wednesday, December 7 at 2 a.m. near 154th Street.

Police are eyeing the suspect in two other rapes in southeast Queens — one on October 13, when a 20-year-old woman was grabbed near Merrick Boulevard and raped behind a dumpster and another on November 15 near 142nd Street, according to police.

The suspect is described by police as a black male between 25-30 years of age, 5-feet-5-inches tall, weighing 220 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a white and blue striped scarf.
