Police search for attempted rape suspect

Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an attempted rape within the confines of the 104th Precinct.

A 25-year-old woman was grabbed from behind at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 19 by the suspect, police said.  The suspect pushed the woman to the ground and attempted to rape her.  After the victim screamed for help, police said, the suspect ran off with her purse.

Police described the  suspect as a black male with short black hair between 25-35 years old, 6-feet tall and weighing 210pounds.
