Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an attempted rape within the confines of the 104th Precinct.

A 25-year-old woman was grabbed from behind at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 19 by the suspect, police said.  The suspect pushed the woman to the ground and attempted to rape her.  After the victim screamed for help, police said, the suspect ran off with her purse.

Police described the  suspect as a black male with short black hair between 25-35 years old, 6-feet tall and weighing 210pounds.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
