Today’s early spring weather may disrupted by dangerous winds this afternoon.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory for Queens beginning at noon with gusts expected to surpass 50 mph.

Sustained winds will be approximately 30 mph.

The winds strength means there is potential for downed trees and power lines.

The NWS said the strongest winds will be early in the afternoon. The advisory will remain in effect until 6 p.m. tonight.
