A new Whitestone restaurant celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon “chop”ping.
Surrounded by community leaders, the staff of Red Chop cut the ribbon at their Whitestone eatery on Wednesday, April 18.
Featuring Chef Shen, with more than 40 years experience, Red Chop, located at 20-02 Utopia Parkway, offers authentic Sichuan cuisine along with a sushi bar.
When you stop in, Wendy Chang, the restaurant’s project manager, recommends the hand-carved eggplant, General Tso’s chicken or tangerine beef.
“The food is detailed and there is a fine subtleness of the spices,” Chang said. “There is
good food and there is fabulous Sichuan authentic cuisine and that’s what we are.”
