Gas prices fall for 10th straight week

As summer approaches, gas prices continue to approach the lowest prices of the year.

The average New York City gas price has fallen for the past 10 weeks and settled at $3.80, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

Many stations throughout the Queens come in well below the city average.

Over the past week, the cost of gas has fallen six cents in the city and has dropped 26 cents over the past month.

At this time last year New Yorkers were paying $4.06 for a gallon of gas.

Nationally, the average cost for a gallon of gas is $3.51, 19 cents lower than a month ago.
