On Thursday June 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Mount Sinai Queen and the New York Blood Center (NYBC) will hold a blood drive. NYBC’s mobile donor coach will be parked outside the entrance of the hospital at 25-10 30th Avenue in Long Island City.
“Summer is crunch time for us,” said NYBC Vice President Rob Purvis. “Potential donors go on vacation and the school term ends. We’re asking people to schedule a blood donation along with their other summer plans.”
No appointment is necessary. Donors should make sure they eat and drink plenty fluids before donating.
