At Renaissance Event Hall, you can have your cake and eat it too.

Established in 2002, the Long Island City venue specializes in creating unique and distinctive events for New Yorkers.

Teresa Lisson, Partner at Renaissance Event Hall, built the foundation of the current business three years ago. “Ever since, I focus on private events only,” she said. “We are specialists in weddings, Sweet 16s, corporate affairs and some concerts.”

Conveniently located near all five boroughs, Renaissance attracts a diverse group of people.

“The European charm, our young motivated team, our on-premises catering, moderate prices, and layout of the venue fascinate film crews and urge networks to shoot with well-known actors here,” said Lisson.

Lisson and her sales staff ensure that all requests are handled with care.

“I ensure the logistics preparation for our events, such as ordering the freshest ingredients from the Hunts Point Cooperative Market, and preparation for our events are taken, customize new theme buffets and attend shows and other business-related events to always be up to date with the latest trends,” she said.

The Renaissance recently purchased the building next door in order to expand. The construction is set to start by the end of this year. It will allow for a bigger bridal suite, backyard and rooftop for ceremonies and outdoor affairs.

“That allows us to improve the kitchen in order to speed up the serving process,” said Lisson. “We will also add more seating space that will allow us to add 150 guests, which makes a total of 450 guests.”

As a growing business with steady requests from both existing and new clients, Renaissance’s number one goal is to assure clients their privacy.

“They don’t have to share space with others,” said Lisson. “It is guaranteed an intimate affair.”
