Police are looking for Cathy Lu in connection with a newborn that was abandoned in Woodside.

Police are searching for the woman they believe is the mother of the baby girl abandoned outside the Woodside Houses on Sunday, August 19.

Cathy Lu is wanted for questioning in connection with the baby, who was found by a passer-by, lying in the grass and wrapped in a bloody bed sheet outside the housing complex. The child was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she is said to be in stable condition.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-557-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COMor by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
