Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that because of Sandy, he is signing an executive order that will allow voters in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester and Rockland counties to vote by affidavit ballot at any poll site in New York State on election day.

Voters can cast their ballots for president and U.S. Senate, but may not be able to vote for local races if they don’t go to their regular polling place, said Cuomo.

To accommodate voters impacted by the storm, 61 p0ll sites in New York City have been relocated, including 28 in Queens.
