This suspect is wanted for robbing a woman as she prayed inside a mosque in Woodside.

Police are looking for a suspect wanted for a Wednesday, February 27 grand larceny inside a mosque at 57-16 37th Avenue in Woodside.

According to the NYPD, at 5:20 p.m. as the 65-year-old victim prayed inside the mosque, the suspect removed her pocketbook without her knowing. The pocketbook contained cash and bank cards.

There were no reported injuries. The police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
