Police arrested a 35-year-old man for fatally stabbing his mother in south Queens.

A Queens man has been charged with homicide after he allegedly stabbed his mother multiple times.

Authorities found the victim, 60-year-old Sylvia Scott, inside an apartment at 76-00 Shorefront Parkway around 12:45 a.m. Monday with multiple stab wounds to her torso, said police. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her son, 35-year-old Lonnie Scott, who, according to police, is listed as living at the same Arverne address as his mother, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with second-degree murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
