The State Department has just issued a world-wide alert that al Qaeda is planning attacks on subways, rail, aviation and maritime services. I find this quite sad and troubling. We need to be more watchful and prepared for anything out of the ordinary.

Furthermore, I firmly believe as Americans we should fly the American flag outside homes, apartments, offices and stores throughout the United States during this latest terrorist alert. Sadly, these flags have all but disappeared since 9/11. Our patriotism was what pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn’t take another attack to galvanize us toward solidarity again. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds. To all those who fly the flag during this period let me say thank you for your participation, and may God bless you and may God bless America.
