This suspect is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in South Jamaica on Sunday, August 18.

Cops have released a video of man they say sexually assaulted a teen girl in South Jamaica on Sunday.

The suspect followed the 13-year-old into an elevator at the South Jamaica Housing Development around 7:30 a.m., said police. Once inside, he sexually assaulted her. When they reached the victim’s floor, she screamed and the man fled in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as black, 20 to 25 years old and approximately five feet eight inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black and white t-shirt and a black/white baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto Crime Stoppers website or can text their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
