This suspect is wanted for allegedly attempting to rape a 10-year-old girl in Jamaica on Monday morning.

Cops have released the sketch of a man they say allegedly tried to rape a 10-year-old girl in Jamaica Monday.

The suspect approached the child at about 7:15 a.m. around 168th Street and Douglas Avenue, said police. He then pushed her to the ground and attempted to rape her, but fled when a vehicle passed by them.

The girl was not injured in the assault.

Police said the child, who was on her way to school when she was attacked, reported the incident when she arrived to class that day.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or submit their tips by texting 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577 or by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website.
