Police are looking for the suspect wanted in connection with the robbery and shooting of a man in Jamaica.

The NYPD is looking for a man in connection with the shooting and robbery of a victim in Jamaica.

The suspect approached the victim on Saturday at about 8:40 a.m. near 140-15 Rockaway Blvd. and demanded money, police said. The male victim obeyed and was then shot in the torso.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was treated and released.

Cops have released a surveillance photo of the suspect prior to the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or can text their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
