Police are looking for this man wanted in connection with two bank robberies, one in Flushing (pictured) and the other in Astoria.

The NYPD is looking for a man in connection with two bank robberies.

The first robbery occurred on Nov. 8, 2013 at about 12:26 p.m. at Apple Bank, located at 43-73 Kissena Blvd. in Flushing, according to police. The suspect entered the bank and handed a note to the bank teller demanding money. The teller obeyed and then the suspect fled with $639.

The second incident took place on Jan. 11 at about 12:28 p.m. when the suspect entered an Astoria Federal Savings Bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, said police. The teller complied and the suspect them fled with $1,122.

Police are describing the suspect as a 30-35 year old black male, who is about 6 feet tall and weighs between 220-240 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark knit cap and a dark jacket with a hooded sweatshirt.

The NYPD has released surveillance photos from the two incidents.


Incident #2 – Astoria Federal Savings Bank

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or can text their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
