Construction work to upgrade and maintain stations, tracks and signal systems is affecting weekend service on many of the city’s subway lines. The MTA is advising customers to allow for extra travel time if they rely on any of these trains.

From 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7, the 116 St 6 line station will be EXIT ONLY due to the 116 St Festival. Customers will not be allowed entry to this station between these hours. Use the 110 St or 125 St 6 stations instead.

From 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, the 77 St 6 line station will be EXIT ONLY due to the Puerto Rican Day Parade. Customers will not be allowed entry to this station between these hours. Use the 68 St or 86 St 6 stations instead.

From 2:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, to 4:30 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 7 trains are suspended between Times Square-42 St and Queensboro Plaza in both directions due to CBTC related work and track panel installation south of Queensboro Plaza. EFNQS and free shuttle buses provide alternate service. Q service is extended to Astoria Ditmars Blvd on Saturday, June 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Shuttle buses operate between Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av and Queensboro Plaza making station stops at Queensboro Plaza, Queens Plaza, Court Square, Hunters Point Av and Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av.

At all times until August 2014, Far Rockaway/Lefferts Blvd-bound A trains skip 88 St, and Lefferts Blvd-bound A trains skip 104 St due to station renewals at 88 St and 104 St.
- For Service To/From 88 St: To 88 St, take the A to Rockaway Blvd and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A. From 88 St, take a Brooklyn-bound A to 80 St and transfer to a Far Rockaway or Lefferts Blvd-bound A.
- For Service To/From 104 St: To 104 St, take the Lefferts Blvd-bound A to Lefferts Blvd and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A. From 104 St, take the Q112 bus. Or, take the A to Rockaway Blvd and transfer to a Lefferts Blvd-bound A train.

At all times until October 2014, there are no N or R trains running between Court Street in Brooklyn and Whitehall Street in Manhattan. Late night N and weekend R service are rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge.
No N or R trains in either direction at Jay Street-MetroTech, Court Street, Whitehall Street, Rector Street, Cortlandt Street and City Hall.
Late night R shuttle in Brooklyn is unaffected.
