A motorcyclist lost his life on July 4 after striking a utility pole in Far Rockaway, police said.

Marcus Joel, 26, of South Ozone Park, was riding his motorcycle on Seagirt Boulevard near Beach 13th Street just after 6 p.m. when the accident occurred, according to authorities.
