Police are looking for this man in connection to an attempted robbery in South Ozone Park.

The NYPD is looking for a suspect wanted for the attempted robbery of a 65-year-old woman.

On Wednesday, Aug.6 at about 2:10 p.m. the victim was on the corner of 130th Street and 109th Avenue when she was pushed from behind by the suspect as he tried to grab her purse, police said. This caused her to fall to the ground and hit her head on the sidewalk. The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim sustained swelling and bruising to her head and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to cops.

Police released photos of the suspect who they describe as a man with brown eyes, short black hair and about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was last seen wearing white sneakers and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or can text their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
