A man who was shot outside a South Richmond Hill club earlier this month has succumbed to his injuries and police are still searching for the suspect who they say murdered the 28-year-old victim.

The victim, who has yet to be identified by police, was standing outside of Vue Sky Lounge, at 123-07 Liberty Ave., around 4 a.m. on Sept. 20,  when the suspect approached him, authorities said. The pair started arguing and the suspect allegedly fired his gun, hitting the victim once in the torso. The suspect, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, then fled in a dark-colored SUV.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he died on Thursday.

It was not immediately clear whether the shooter knew the victim or what exactly led to the dispute, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or can text their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
