SATURDAY, SEPT. 5

Join yoga instructor Helen Kilgallen from Elaine’s Dance School for Yoga on the Beach. Work on flexibility and strength in this beginner Hatha Yoga class. Bring a mat, large towel or blanket. GrowNYC Greenmarket provides the Long Island and Astoria communities with farm-fresh produce and family fun activities every Saturday. Enjoy an hour of free yoga in the park designed for all experience levels. Kripalu Yoga focuses on posture, breathing techniques, relaxation and mediation. Family Health and Fitness Day presents a fun-filled day of fitness demonstrations, races, contests, crafts, a puppet show and more! The Queens Historical Society welcomes you to explore their newest exhibition, “Leading the Way: Six Outstanding Women of Queens.” Learn about women from a variety of backgrounds who at one point worked or lived in Queens.
