Elmhurst woman found dead with slash wounds on body in Kissena Park

Police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old woman who was found Sunday afternoon with slash wounds on her body in Flushing’s Kissena Park.

At about 2:52 p.m., officers from the 109th Precinct responded to a call regarding an unconscious individual inside Kissena Park in the vicinity of Colden Street and Laburnum Avenue.

Upon arriving, authorities said, the officers found the woman — later identified as Qing Qing Kiemde of Elmhurst— unconscious and unresponsive with slash wounds to her neck and stomach.

Emergency personnel responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Police later classified the case as a homicide.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
