A woman has been arrested after stabbing an off-duty cop during an attempted robbery in Cunningham Park in Fresh Meadows on Friday afternoon, according to authorities.

The incident took place at around 2 p.m., police said. The female officer was approached by the suspect during a trip to the park to walk her dog.

She was stabbed in the face during a struggle after the female suspect demanded her property and tried to steal her bag.

The officer was taken to a local hospital, and the suspect was later apprehended at the intersection of Francis Lewis Boulevard and Grand Central Parkway.

Charges against the suspect are pending.
