Suspect wanted for Ozone Park robbery and attack

Police are looking for a suspect wanted for stealing a neck chain and pendant in a recent Ozone Park robbery and assault.

The suspect approached the 55-year-old male victim from behind and attempted to snatch his neck chain while both were standing at the intersection of 103rd Avenue and 107th Street on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 5:15 p.m.

The suspect pulled out a black firearm when the victim resisted the robbery, and struck the man in the head and face with his gun. He was then able to successfully remove the victim’s neck chain and a cross-shaped pendant with the name “Kenneth,” valued at a total of $500.

The suspect fled on foot to parts unknown after the incident.

Officers from the 106th Precinct responded to the incident, and the victim was treated at Jamaica Hospital for a small laceration to the nose and facial swelling.

The suspect is described as a black male aged 18 to 25. He was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a grey hooded sweatshirt and bright red high-top sneakers.
