Police seek to question man in death of Woodside motorcyclist

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to the 22-year-old motorcyclist who was found dead on Steinway Street in Astoria Sunday morning.

Authorities originally reported that Nathaniel Gomez, 22, died after losing control of his vehicle at the intersection of Steinway Street and 23rd Avenue. New video surveillance shows that there may have been more to Gomez’s death.

A man was captured on video pacing back and forth at the scene of the crime. Police describe him as a male in his 40s or 50s who is partially bald and last scene wearing a white button-down shirt, blue sweat pants with a white stripe down the side, sandals and no socks.
