Middle Village is ready for its closeup.

A documentary of the neighborhood created by a Middle Village native and filmmaker will make its world premiere Saturday night at a Forest Hills movie theater.

David Lee Madison has invited the community to join him at the debut of “Middle Village” on Nov. 14 at Cinemart Cinemas, located at 106-05 Metropolitan Ave. The movie is set to premiere at 9 p.m. and due to popular demand, a second show has been added for the same night at 10 p.m.

“I am so excited that the premiere is being held at the beautiful Cinemart theater. I remember going there as a kid, mesmerized by the majestic chandelier that hung over the crowd,” Madison said. “To be playing my film there to a sold-out audience is quite an honor. Everyone coming out to these screenings should expect the feeling of a huge family reunion, with the film serving as our communal trip down memory lane.”

Before the premiere, Madison will be on hand, along with actors Brian O’Halloran, of “Clerks” and “Mallrats” fame, and Scott Schiaffo, from the films “Clerks” and “Vulgar,” for a meet-and-greet with all the movie’s attendees.

In addition, the actors will be signing autographs on theatrical posters of the film, which will be available that night in a limited supply for a small fee.

“We plan on showcasing the most important aspect of Middle Village: its residents,” Madison said of the film. “We will also bring the viewer back to some great nostalgic places of the past. We hope to make a film that is informative, smart, nostalgic and funny.”

Tickets for this event are $10 and can be purchased at the Middle Village Movie website. The 9 p.m. showing has already sold out and seats are extremely limited for the 10 p.m. showing, so moviegoers are advised to get their tickets early to be a part of this historic event.
