Suspect wanted for slashing teen’s neck after dispute in Flushing

Police are looking for a man they say slashed the throat of a teen in Flushing last week after a verbal dispute.

Police are looking for a man suspected of slicing a 16-year-old victim on the neck with a box cutter after a verbal dispute last week in Flushing.

According to authorities, the unknown suspect had a verbal dispute with the teen victim and then slashed him on the neck on the side of Fresh Mart located at 40-38 Union St. at about 10 p.m. on Nov. 2. The suspect fled on foot.

Emergency personnel took the teen to NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, where he was treated for the neck wound and later released.

The suspect is described as a 25-year-old Hispanic man with a light complexion and was last seen wearing a two-tone gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, a blue baseball cap and dark-colored sneakers.

Police have released surveillance photo of the suspect.
