The Queens Holiday Market is helping to kick off the holiday season this year as they sponsor the Atlas Park Christmas tree lighting ceremony in conjunction with their night market this Friday, Dec. 4, in Glendale.

The night market will run from 6 to 8 p.m., while the tree lighting will be from 7 to 8 p.m.

There will be a visit from Santa, live music from Martin Luther High School and P.S. 150, giveaways, as well as visits from state Senator Joseph Addabbo, Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley and Congresswoman Grace Meng.

The Queens Holiday Market offers an international food court of incredible food and sweets, an all-Queens beer garden, an arcade and the greatest vendors in the city offering vintage, handcrafted and artisan gifts for everyone on your list.

Take the escalator by TJ Maxx and visit the market on the second floor every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Be sure to check out these vendors while at the market:

The most epic brownie you’ve ever tasted, dense with gooey milk chocolate, oozing with semi-sweet morsels, and topped with a dusting of powdered sugar. As a cheeky nod to their addicting nature and founder Dorinda Cline’s Irish roots, ‘Craic’ (pronounced krăk) is a Gaelic word for high-spirited fun and good times had by all.

Dueling Clothing Co. began as an homage to all those brave souls who had the courage to stand up for what they believed in — even if it meant that they would meet their end. The company is fully enamored by a sword’s lure as it is able to uncover the truth with one swift swing. They believe that those who don the sword understand the meaning of honor, bravery and justice. As such, all of the products, from clothing to accessories, display the sword proudly and illustriously.
