One Astoria-based show is not having the best time ever.

According to published reports, NBC has decided to cancel “Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris” after only one season on the air.

The one-hour variety show, which premiered in September and filmed at Kaufman Astoria Studios, was hosted and co-produced by Harris and featured appearances by “A-list stars, stunts, comedy skits, mini game shows, audience giveaways and hidden camera pranks.”

Along with featuring contestants from all over the nation, “Best Time Ever” also included local residents who got the chance to share the stage with Harris. In September, Astoria resident Steven Tarca participated in the show and took home various prizes — including $5,000 in cash and a bathtub full of Snickers bars.

Although the show is being canceled, NBC and Harris plan to continue working together on future projects through the actor’s Prediction Productions, according to Variety, who first reported the news of the cancellation.
