Police released on Monday night security video of four individuals wanted for shoving a police officer onto the tracks at a Jamaica subway station early Sunday morning.

The trouble began at about 12:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, when the group of two males and two females walked through a service gate and avoided paying the fare at the Jamaica Center-Parsons/ArcherE train station.

When two NYPD officers spotted the fare-beaters and attempted to stop them, police said, the group ran toward the tracks. In doing so, one of the male suspects pushed one of the officers onto the track bed.

Authorities said the officer’s partner helped get him off the tracks, but they lost sight of the group, who ran out of the station and fled in an unknown direction. No serious injuries were reported.

Police described the perpetrators as follows:

  • a black male between 20 and 25 years old, standing 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds who was last seen wearing a black bubble jacket, a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue pants and black sneakers;
  • a white or Hispanic female between 20 and 25 years old, standing 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, who was last seen wearing a yellow scarf, a black coat, blue jeans and black rain boots;
  • a black male between 20 and 25 years old, standing 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds, who was last seen wearing a purple do-rag, a white sneaker with blue stripes, light blue jeans and black sneakers; and
  • a black female between 20 and 25 years old, standing 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds, who was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a black sweater and camouflage pants.
