An off-duty officer was arrested Wednesday for leaving the scene of an accident after he hit a 13-year-old pedestrian on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

David Walker, 36, hit the boy with a Honda CRV at the intersection of 93rd Street and Jackson Mill Road on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m., according to authorities.

Walker allegedly exited his car to check on the teen and ask him if he wanted a ride home. The boy declined the offer and Walker drove off without reporting the accident, authorities said.

The teen reported the accident to his parents who took him to Elmhurst Hospital, police said. He suffered from a bruised left foot and abdominal pain, according to published reports. His parents then called 911 to report Walker.

The cop was issued a desk appearance ticket by the NYPD and is expected to appear in court on March 8.
