Cops release video of a man wanted for sexually abusing a woman in Astoria

Police are on the lookout for a man pictured at left who sexually assaulted a woman at this Astoria intersection last month.

The NYPD released on Thursday security camera footage of a man who sexually abused a young woman on an Astoria street last month.

According to authorities, the incident occurred at about 1:45 a.m. on March 13 at the corner of 48th Street and Ditmars Boulevard.

Police said the perpetrator — described as a Hispanic male between 25 and 35 years old, standing between 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 9 inches tall with spiked black hair — approached the 23-year-old victim, grabbed her and tried to remove her clothing.

When the woman began screaming, the perpetrator took off on foot. The incident was reported to the 114th Precinct; the woman was not seriously injured.

Authorities said the suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and dark-colored boots.
