An 18-year-old died at this Woodhaven intersection on Sunday after being struck by a truck while riding his skateboard.

Riding his skateboard through Woodhaven proved deadly for an 18-year-old male who was struck and killed by a Parks Department truck on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The fatal accident occurred at 1:33 p.m. at the intersection of Forest Parkway and Park Lane South.

According to authorities, the skateboarder — whose identity was not released pending family notification — was rolling southbound along Forest Parkway when he collided with a 2006 Ford truck operated by the Parks Department traveling westbound on Park Lane South.

The 37-year-old truck driver stopped the vehicle and remained at the scene following the accident.

Officers from the 102nd Precinct and EMS units responded to the location. Paramedics rushed the teenager to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No charges have been filed, and an investigation is ongoing.
