Now in its 19th year, the Warm Up series hosted by MoMA PS1 in Long Island City will bring together local and international musicians and DJs for a summer of music, art and food.

Beginning on June 11, the art space located at 22-25 Jackson Ave., will host outdoor concerts every Saturday featuring musicians from Brooklyn to Bolivia. Acts include DJ Premier, Hot Chip, LCD Soundystem‘s Nancy Whang and local Queens musician Eartheater. The last show will take place on August 27.

MoMA PS1’s courtyard will also feature an installation by Mexico City-based architecture firm Escobedo Soliz Studio, which created a colorful canopy and reflected wading pool. Next door neighbor M. Wells Dinette will serve grab-and-go snacks and cocktails from noon to 9 p.m.

The series introduces audiences to established and emerging artists and designers will create “rotating stage environments” for different acts. Other acts will be announced throughout the program.

Long Island City residents with proof of residence will receive one free ticket on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are $22 in-advance and $25 the day of the show.
