The organizers of Governor’s Ball, the three-day festival held on Randall’s Island, announced that they will be bringing another festival to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in October.

The Meadows Music and Arts Festival will take place at Citi Field on Oct. 1 and 2 with headliners such as Kanye West, The Weeknd and Chance the Rapper. More than 42 artists will perform across four stages set up in the complex and parking lot.

Organizers canceled the last day of Governor’s Ball on June 4 due to weather and said they wanted to host this show to give Kanye West a chance to perform. Other artists include Grimes, The 1975, Chromeo, Empire of the Sun, Mac Miller, Cage the Elephant and more.

The festival will also “embrace the amazing culinary diversity of Queens” and will serve a selection of craft cocktails that celebrate the city’s bar scene, according to a press release.

“As a native New Yorker I grew up in awe of the innovative spirit surrounding Flushing Meadows Corona Park,” said Tom Russell, partner at Founders Entertainment, the production company behind Governor’s Ball. “With this event we can shine a spotlight once again on this iconic neighborhood and bring with it the economic benefits, strong community partnerships and local hiring for which Founders Entertainment is known.”

Maker Faire, a hybrid science and county fair, is held on the same days as The Meadows Festival in nearby New York Hall of Science. The parking lot near Citi Field is used for overflow parking.

The Meadows Festival organizers said that to be good neighbors, they will not offer parking for festivalgoers and will encourage them to take public transportation so that the lots can be used for other events.

Parks Department officials said a permit has been issued for the Maker Faire, which will take place at the Hall of Science property and that for the past few years, the fair has also expanded to a 1.8-acre of parkland adjacent to the museum.
