A Summer Afternoon with Multi-Award Winning Japanese Vocalist TiA

When:  Saturday, Aug. 13, 2:30 p.m.

Where: Queens Library (Central) – Auditorium – 89-11 Merrick Blvd., Jamaica, NY

Do you love J-Pop? Check out this concert featuring Japanese vocalist TiA! At the age of 16, Japanese artist TiA signed with Epic Records and shortly after her song “Ryuusei” was featured on the popular anime “Naruto.” Since then, TiA’s popularity exploded across Japan, leading her first album to receive a Gold Disc Award. TiA has performed at the Apollo Theater, the Prudential Center, Carnegie Hall and more. Her first American track was released in 2015 and TiA has been winning over audiences ever since.

A Summer Night with SpinKick, led by Norman Edwards, Jr.

When: Thursday, Aug. 18, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Queens Library (Central) – Auditorium – 89-11 Merrick Blvd., Jamaica, NY

If you’re looking for a night of feel-good songs with a slamming groove, A Summer Night with SpinKick is for you! SpinKick is an original band led by Norman Edwards, Jr., a two-time Grammy nominated artist. Taking influence from bands like Earth, Wind and Fire, Jamiroquai and Prince, Spinkick showcases a unique blend of dance, funk, hip-hop and jazz that can’t be beat.

International DJ Master of House Music & Electronica Sin Morera

When: Monday, Aug. 22, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Queens Library (Central) – Auditorium – 89-11 Merrick Blvd., Jamaica, NY

After spending many years hanging out in clubs like The Building, Red Zone and the original Sound Factory, Sin Morera entered the studio to create some amazing mixes of his own. Having worked under many labels such as Sony, Universal, Warner, Virgin Records and BMG Entertainment, Morera has been writing, producing and arranging records and performing them in popular venues across North America, Europe and Asia. Sin Morera has remixed popular artists such as Mariah Carey and Madonna and has collaborated with legendary DJ Carl Cox. If you love house music, you won’t want to miss this!
