Police continue to search for the suspect who robbed a 77-year-old woman during a Woodhaven home invasion on Aug. 19.

Detectives continue to search for the robber who invaded a Woodhaven home last week, attacked a female resident and detained her in a closet while he stole her property.

Police said the robbery occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Aug. 19 at a home in the vicinity of Forest Parkway and 85th Avenue.

According to authorities, the perpetrator — described as a white male standing 6 foot 2 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with black eyes and a light complexion while wearing blue jeans, a black skull cap and a white camouflage T-shirt — entered the home through an unlocked backyard door.

Once inside, law enforcement sources noted, he confronted the 77-year-old female victim in her kitchen. He wrapped his arm around her neck, held a knife to her chest, escorted her to a second-floor bedroom and placed her in a closet.

Police said the suspect then removed an assortment of jewelry and an unspecified amount of cash before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 102nd Precinct responded to the incident. The woman was not seriously injured.

Anyone with information regarding the home invasion or the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
